Need a Speaker?
Barbara has a unique offering in that her special needs cat "Bruiser" joins her when she speaks. Bruiser was neglected, abandoned, and abused before he was rescued by the Gareis family in 2015. The story of Bruiser's rescue coupled with Barbara's testimony and faith during adversity paints a picture of hope, love, compassion, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Barbara has spoken at women's conferences, schools, youth groups, author events, book festivals, and church functions, as well as participated in publishing industry discussion panels. She has been a leader of the women's ministry team at Shadyrest Bible church. She has also been interviewed on several radio stations and podcasts.

Faithfulness and Blessings
It's easy to become discouraged regardless of the size of our trials, but faith conquers all fear. Strengthen your faith as you battle your trials, and focus on the many blessings that are right in front of you, little things we often take for granted.
Dancing with Daddy
Have you made a few poor choices? Do you wonder if anyone could still love you and forgive you? A tragic event made me realize that I needed to return to my Father. I’m forgiven and loved and so are you. No one is too messed up to be forgiven.
