Breaking Barriers

What’s stopping you from fulfilling your dreams? Maybe your intentions are good, but you keep hitting a wall of fear or doubt. You realize months, or years, later that your intentions are still just that—intentions. You look back and wonder why you’re still not “there” yet.

Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same over and over again and expecting different results. What prevents you from stepping out of your comfort zone and taking action? Is it fear? Lack of money, time, or education? Maybe naysayers are destroying your dreams with doubt. Maybe you doubt yourself.

You can’t stop thinking about your desire to do more, do something new, and make a difference. You know it’s your calling. You’ve prayed about it, and you have peace about it. You know it will take time, and you’re willing to be patient, but you’re still holding back from taking that first small step. And without that first step, you can’t take the second, so you just stand still and keep dreaming.

Imagine a very tall ladder. It’s impossible to reach the top with one leap. You have to climb one rung at a time. You’ll need strength and endurance, balance and courage. It’s so high that you can’t see the top, but you know it’s there. You’ve imagined it. Dreamed about it.

Satan will do everything in his power to stop you from doing that which is right, good, and Godly. He’ll use family, friends, and others to persecute you. He will try to knock you down and keep you there… wallowing in despair… filled with discouragement.

Break the barrier between dream and reality.

Our God is so big and so good! You don’t have to break the barrier alone. God will go ahead of you and create a clear path through the dark tunnel. He will make a way for you. He will take you there.

God will give you the desires of your heart. Trust Him. Bury the doubt. Overcome the fear. Stay strong. Dream. Yes, dream, but don’t stop there. Take a step of faith and start climbing. Soon you will be breaking barriers! Your dream will become reality.

Delight yourself also in the LORD,

And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
